1: Why should I use a private duty agency?
All too often, people that need a little help begin struggling with daily activities, which can cause a lot of frustration. Sometimes falls and injuries occur when a person tries to do too much. Private duty home care can help restore your independence and give you enough help so that you may remain in your own home. Most people want to stay in their own home instead of going into a nursing home. Private duty home care enables a person to remain at home at a cost that is significantly lower than going into a nursing home.
2: What is the difference between Privately duty and Home Health Care?
Private Duty Care (or custodial care) offers a broad range of long-term services to assist senior adults with their daily lives, from every day living care to bill paying and transportation services to meal preparation and companionship. The goal of a private duty caregiver is to provide whatever support a senior adult needs to remain independent as long as possible in their own home.
On the other hand, Home Health Care (or supportive health care) is medically driven and helps adults and seniors who are recovering after a hospital or facility stay, or need additional support to remain safely at home and avoid unnecessary hospitalization.
These Medicare-certified services may include short-term nursing, rehabilitative, therapeutic, and assistive home health care. This care is provided by registered nurses, physical therapists, occupational therapists, home health aides and medical social workers.
3. What are your rates?
Hourly rates for caregivers vary depending on the level of care needed and the hours of care needed. We strive to offer competitive rates without compromising quality of care. For a custom quote, please call our office at 713-884-1985.
4: What happens if my caregiver is unable to make it to my house?
It's not a problem. We orient multiple employees who can meet your care needs. If one home health aide, or caregiver is sick, another is normally available.
